SAPAC Gripen using catapult launch -- setup

What with COVID-19 and working from home, I've cleaned up the workshop and started/restarted a couple projects including the Gripen.
What I have decided to do with the Gripen is to drop the landing gear and go for the catapult approach with the pipe ramp and foot treadle approach.
I've seen JOPRO(on RCGroups)'s approach of a short bungee and direct ground launch from a hand-hold rod sticking out of the back end of things but have definitely decided on the foot treadle approach so I would have two hands on the sticks. Also, there are other EDF flyers in my local club (Hello, Don!) and on RCGroups and they have the same setup.
However, fields are closed so I'm putting the same question out on all of the forums that I hang out on.
OK, after all that, what are the sizes and lengths and # of strands, plus the type of cord are you using for your setup, plus where is your hook/setup on the plane (near the nose, halfway from nose to CofG, just in front of CofG)?
Yes, effectively Star Wars Days (May the Fourth) and no sign of the field restrictions being removed (Ontario is in a lock-down with a very short list of exceptions and allowed businesses). So I have lots of time to get things right before I go trooping out to the field (EMFSO.ORG)

Update on this endeavour?. I've been reading John Dutkowski's foam Arrow threads and the manual for the Arrow pusher/EDF kit, and he talks about a towhook arrangement but does not specify what it looks like. Right now, I'm thinking of something like the 4/40 end-threaded rod, mounted in a plate of quarter-inch five-ply.
