Which SPEKTRUM tranmitters have the telemetry capability?
« on: March 09, 2023, 09:29:08 am »
Just asking a duuble-barreled question:
a) Anyone know which Spektrum transmitters have the telemetry option? (Currently own s dx6 and dx6i).
b) Anyone purchased the Spektrum altimeter or a compatible unit and have tested it? Yes, BEFORE (emphasis only) the curent TC/MAAC issues.

Found my manuals for the transmitters (need to add them to maintenance log under RADIOs section).

The DX6 transmitter is capable of handling telemetry feedback, bur the DX6i is not. Fortunately, the model that I'll be flying shortly uses the DX6 TX.

Found my manual for my AR630 RX, and checked discussion on telemetry.

UNFORTUNATELY, my AR630 RX is not compatible with the TM1000 telemetry module and the Altimeter sensor.

Looks like l'll have to rely the the old Mk.1 ranging tool (eyeballs) and CFI/FSO providing input (nudge followed by quiet coment "you're too high") to gauge my altitude and how close I am to the do-not-exceed altitude limits.
