Sad News Regarding Tony Van Bergen
« on: December 11, 2022, 04:24:35 pm »
Lorna, Tony's wife has contacted me with the sad news that Tony passed away this morning while in hospital.

Lorna has requested that I advise the members of the club about his passing.  She has also requested I advise that this coming Saturday afternoon there will be a 'celebration of life' for Tony at Marshals Funeral Home in Richmond Hill at 1 p.m. with visitation preceding at 12.

Lorna advised that Tony is being cremated and his remains with a small exception will be taken back home to rest with his family overseas.  Lorna has requested to have some of his ashes dispersed at Crosswinds so that Tony can in spirit be with his friends who have shared in his enjoyment in the model aircraft community.  Lorna was hoping for this to be accomplished sometime in the spring when the weather is nicer and spring brings about new growth at the field.

I and many others who have known Tony will sincerely miss him.

Should  I hear of anything different I will add to the information in this post.
